S.M.A.R.T. RULE of THUMB

Here is a rule of thumb to live by:
Help others to get what they want, and you will have everything you want."

Does that sound like a Formula for Success to you?
I'll admit, at first I wasn't so sure.   But, I have come to understand
that success in anything of real significance:
(  love, relationships character, reputation, work ethic  )
truly has its original roots way back in the
Bible, where that same quote reads more like
"Do unto others...." you know, The Golden Rule.

Money is just the icing on the cake.
So, one part of the Mindset for Success would be
to have the heart of a servant: lend a helping hand,
and be a solutions provider for customers, partners,
colleagues...anyone needing it.

OK.  I want to share with you some inspiration
 I learned from Christopher Williams.
It is helpful for your personal life as well as your business life.
He is a true leader, because he wants to give his students
everything he can to help achieve their goals, AND he insists
that we pass it on to help others.

To begin with, you must know the importance of
how you feel about yourself.  You need to write down
a list of your accomplishments, large & small and
commend yourself for a job well done.  In the process,
you will discover you are stronger than you thought.
You are capable of so much.

Now, when it comes to goal setting, in order to achieve,
here is what Chris says:

"Success is the progressive realization of
   worthwhile predetermined goals."

Huh?  What?  Well that is a mouthful!

But, if you break it down, here it is:
Progressive.....so success is a journey.  (I bet you heard this before)
Realization.....short term goals accomplished motivate and feed success,
success motivates further accomplishment, the cycle begins!
Worthwhile....success adds value to your life and effects you and the people in it
What is most valuable to you in your life?
Predetermined... If you have a plan,  you know where you are going; no luck, just good planning
Goals.... .....There is a formula that effective people use to set goals:
S.M.A.R.T.  Specific, Measureable, Attainable, Realistic, Tangible.

Follow the SMART Rule.  Don't be dumb!  (ugh! sorry)

One way to start is to decide how to spend your time each day
to advance your business.  Do you have 1 hour or 2 hours?

Will you be writing articles, placing ads, emailing, phoning,
reading and studying ( I hope so, each day)

Create a schedule so you will be able to MEASURE your
success.  It's also helpful to make a list of the top
5 or 6 things you will accomplish tomorrow!

Do that every evening, and the next day's plan
is already in place.  You will realize your
short term goals and feed future success.

Believe me, this process will keep you focused on
moving forward and  feeling a sense of accomplishment.
Mindset for Success involves believing in the process
and never giving up.  It requires that you ignore and
avoid feelings of discouragement and defeat which
can creep in when building a business.

We all know it ain't a perfect world and sometimes
you'll have days where things just don't go as planned.
But, as you stay the course, bit by bit, the day
will come when you reap what you sow.

Planning + implementing = progress = success
